WHAT WE BELIEVE IN LA NUEVA PUBENZA
In Corporation Maria Elena (CORMAEL) & Hacienda La Nueva Pubenza we believe that a sound business plan should be defined by an underlined philosophy. Ours is to contribute to the development of the country through the production of sustainable bananas of the highest possible quality.
Sustainability is what drives our production and operation. One of the three principles that we understand is part of sustainability is social and community equity. In a country like Ecuador that still has a 25% of poverty rate the private sector has to assume an active role in putting in place programs and practices that address this issue. A role that complements and enhance sustainability principles.
